Terms of Service
Last updated:
These are the rules for using CraftVote (craftvote.com), a list of Minecraft servers where players vote for the servers they like.
By using the site you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
1. Who we are
CraftVote is an independent website run from Cyprus. You can reach us at [email protected].
CraftVote is not an official Minecraft service. It is not approved by or associated with Mojang or Microsoft. "Minecraft" is a trademark of Mojang Synergies AB.
2. Who can use CraftVote
Anyone can browse the list and vote. You don't need an account for that.
To create an account you must be at least 16 years old.
Please use the site fairly. You must not:
- break the law or these terms, or help someone else do it;
- try to get into accounts, servers or parts of the site that aren't yours;
- attack the site, overload it, or get around its limits and security checks;
- copy the list in bulk (scraping) or run bots against the site, apart from normal search engines;
- pretend to be someone else, including our team.
3. Your account
- Give a real email address that you can read. We use it to confirm your account and to tell you about your account and your servers.
- Your username is shown publicly. Don't pick one that is offensive or that looks like our team or someone else.
- Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what is done with your account. Tell us if you think someone else got in.
- You can delete your account at any time on the Account page, once your servers are removed.
4. Listing a server
Listing a server is free. When you list one, you agree that:
- It's yours. You own the server, or you have the owner's permission to list it.
- The details are true. Name, address, description, tags and country must match the real server. Don't fake the number of players, the status or anything else our checks read from your server.
- One listing per server. No copies of the same server under other names or addresses.
- It's a real, reachable server. We check listed servers regularly and publicly show what they answer: online or offline, players, version, the server's message (MOTD) and icon.
- The content is suitable. Name, description, banner, icon and links must be legal and fit for a general audience that includes young players. No hate, harassment, sexual content, scams, malware or anything illegal.
- You have the rights. You may use the text and pictures you upload. You let us show them on CraftVote and in previews of CraftVote (for example in search engines or when a link is shared) for as long as the server is listed.
- Your server follows Minecraft's own rules (the Minecraft EULA and Usage Guidelines). We may remove servers that clearly break them.
Servers that stay offline or have very low uptime are warned by email and can be hidden from the list automatically. They come back by themselves once their uptime recovers.
5. Voting
- The vote page shows how often you can vote. Normally it is once a day for each server, for a limited number of servers a day. We may change the limits.
- Vote as yourself, with your own Minecraft username.
- No bots, scripts, VPNs, proxies or other tricks to vote more often than allowed.
- Server owners may reward players in the game for voting. They may not buy votes, use vote services or bots, or ask players to cheat the limits.
- Rewards come from the server, not from CraftVote. We pass your vote on to the server, but we can't promise that a server gives a reward.
- The ranking counts the votes of the current month and starts again on the 1st of each month (UTC).
We may remove votes that break these rules, correct vote counts and block addresses that cheat. Our decision on votes and ranking is final.
6. Reporting a server
Every server page has a "Report this server" link. Use it to tell us about fake information, wrong tags, unsuitable or illegal content, or vote cheating.
Reports must be honest. Don't use them to attack a competitor. Our team reads every report; we don't send individual replies. The server's owner is never told who reported it.
7. What we may do
To keep the list fair and safe, we may edit a listing's tags, hide or remove a listing, remove votes, block addresses from voting, and suspend or close accounts that break these terms. Some checks are automatic (vote limits, the uptime rule); the rest is decided by our team.
Where it makes sense we tell the owner by email what we did and why. If you think we got it wrong, write to [email protected] and a member of the team will look at it again.
Authorities and anyone who wants to tell us about illegal content can also use [email protected]. We answer in English.
8. Sponsored spots
In the future we may offer paid "Sponsored" spots, for example at the top of the list. They will be clearly marked as sponsored and will not change the vote ranking below them.
The terms for buying them will be added to this page before they are offered. Until then, nothing on CraftVote costs money.
9. Servers and links belong to others
The servers on the list are run by other people, not by us. We don't control or recommend them. What happens on a server (its rules, bans, purchases and content) is between you and that server.
Links to websites, Discord servers and videos lead to services we don't run.
10. No guarantee
CraftVote is free and provided "as is". We work to keep it running and correct, but we don't promise that the site is always available, that a server gets a certain position, players or visitors, or that every vote reaches every server.
We may change, pause or stop features.
11. Our responsibility
As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect losses, such as lost income, players or data, that come from using the site or from a listed server.
Nothing in these terms limits responsibility that can't be limited by law, or takes away rights you have as a consumer in the country where you live.
12. Our content
The CraftVote name, logo, design and texts belong to us. Server names, descriptions, banners and icons belong to their owners.
13. Ending
You can stop using CraftVote at any time and delete your account on the Account page.
We may suspend or close accounts and listings that break these terms. What happens to your data is explained in the Privacy Policy.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the last change. For important changes we tell account holders by email or with a notice on the site. If you keep using the site after a change, you accept the new terms.
15. Law
These terms follow the law of Cyprus, and its courts decide disputes. If you are a consumer in the EU, you keep the protection of the laws of the country where you live and can also go to the courts there.
16. Contact
Questions about these terms: [email protected].
